Calee legal documents
These four documents are the current, canonical Calee legal documents. They are published here on calee.com.au and apply across Calee Home and the Calee display, the Calee mobile app, the Calee Portal and organisation services, public and shared Calee calendars, and Calee’s public websites.
- Privacy Policy – how we collect, use, share and protect personal information, including calendar integrations, AI-assisted features, schools and children, retention, security and your rights.
- Terms of Use – the terms that apply to using Calee, for households, individual users and organisations.
- Purchase Terms – the terms of sale for the Calee display, including price and GST, order acceptance, payment, delivery, returns and your Australian Consumer Law rights.
- 3-Month Satisfaction Guarantee – the separate consumer promise that lets you try Calee at home for three months.
Previously published legal pages
Calee legal documents were previously published separately on the Calee Portal and on organisation instances such as Calee Business and Calee CEWA. Those copies were duplicates of the same general terms rather than separate contracts for those customers, so those pages now point to the canonical documents on this site. Existing links, bookmarks and references continue to work.
How Calee legal documents fit together
Centralising these documents on calee.com.au means there is one accurate public version of each. It does not mean every Calee customer has an identical contract with us. This is how the pieces relate:
- Privacy Policy – there is one canonical Calee Privacy Policy. It covers how My Calee Pty Ltd handles personal information across the Calee services and supported configurations described in that policy. What any particular customer generates can still differ, because organisations enable different features, integrations and settings; that variation is handled within the one policy rather than by publishing a separate policy for each customer. Where an organisation provides Calee to its people, that organisation is in many cases the controller of the information in its own account and My Calee Pty Ltd acts as a service provider or processor on its behalf. An organisation may also have its own privacy notice, data-processing agreement or other processing arrangements that apply to its use of Calee, alongside this policy.
- Terms of Use – the baseline rules for using Calee. They apply to households and direct users on their own, and they are the starting point for organisations too.
- Purchase Terms – apply only to buying a physical Calee display from us.
- 3-Month Satisfaction Guarantee – a separate consumer promise we offer on top of your legal rights. It is not part of the Terms of Use.
- Product or sector supplements – we may in future publish a standard set of additional terms for a class of customers, such as business or education use. Any supplement that becomes operative will be published on this website and listed here. None is published today, so none applies today.
- Organisation agreements – a school, club, business or enterprise customer may have its own written agreement with My Calee Pty Ltd, covering things the public documents do not: pricing, term and renewal, service levels, support, data-processing instructions, security or retention commitments, sector-specific obligations, or negotiated liability. Not every organisation has one.
Which prevails
Where more than one of these applies to the same point, the order is:
- Rights and obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law. These are never displaced by anything below.
- An organisation’s separate written agreement, where one exists. It applies according to its terms and prevails over the documents below to the extent that it expressly governs the same subject matter and is inconsistent with them.
- Any applicable published supplement, to the extent stated in that supplement.
- The general Terms of Use, which continue to apply to everything the documents above do not cover.
Each level prevails over the ones below it only so far as it actually governs the point in question.
A signed agreement is not published here. Customer-specific agreements are not published as part of Calee’s public legal-document library. Whether a particular agreement is confidential, and whether either party may or must disclose it, is determined by that agreement’s own terms and by any confidentiality, disclosure or other legal obligations that apply to the parties – not by this page. Publishing Calee’s general legal documents on this website does not change, replace or override any agreement we have with a customer, and the absence of a customer’s terms from this page says nothing about whether such an agreement exists.
Equally, an agreement with one organisation has no effect on anyone else. If you use Calee directly as a household, the documents listed above are your terms.
Australian Consumer Law
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in the Calee legal documents excludes, restricts or modifies any right, guarantee or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
