Notes
When you create a calendar in Calee, you can add, edit, delete, and share events directly.
Import from a file
Use this option only for a one-time .ics upload.
Importing copies events from a calendar file into Calee. It does not create a live connection to the original calendar.
Use import when
- you have a calendar file ending in .ics
- you want to copy old or prepared events into Calee
- you are moving events from another system into Calee
- you want to edit the imported events inside Calee after upload
Do not use import when
- the original calendar changes often
- you want updates from Google, Apple, Outlook, or another system to appear automatically
- another calendar system will remain the main source of truth
Steps
-
1
Log in to Calee.
-
2
Open Calendar.
-
3
Open Calendar settings.
-
4
Select Import Calendar.
-
5
Choose the .ics calendar file from your computer.
-
6
Select which Calee calendar the events should be imported into.
-
7
Wait for the import to finish.
-
8
Check that the events appear correctly.
Add a calendar subscription
Use this option when following Google, Apple, Outlook, Calee, or another live calendar source.
Subscribing lets Calee show events from another calendar. Use this when another calendar system is your main source of events.
Common examples
- Google Calendar
- Apple iCloud Calendar
- Outlook Calendar
- Microsoft 365 Calendar
- Another Calee calendar
- Public school calendar
- Public club fixture calendar
- Public holiday calendar
Use subscribe when
- another calendar system is the main source of truth
- you already update events in Google, Apple, Outlook, or another system
- you want Calee to display those events
- you want updates to flow through without manually re-entering events
Read-only note
Subscribed calendars are usually read-only in Calee. Edit the events in the original calendar system, not in Calee.
Steps
-
1
Copy the calendar subscription link from the original calendar system.
-
2
Log in to Calee.
-
3
Open Calendar.
-
4
In the left sidebar, select + New Calendar.
-
5
Select + New subscription from link (read-only).
-
6
Paste the calendar subscription link.
-
7
Confirm the subscription.
-
8
Check that the subscribed calendar appears in the calendar list.
-
9
Check that the events appear correctly.
Important update note
Subscribed calendars may not update instantly. If the original calendar changes, Calee may take some time to reflect it. For time-sensitive changes, notify people directly as well.
