Get started with Calee

Connect your Calee display using the Calee app, then add the calendars you already use. Calee shows all your calendars together on your display, while keeping Calee calendars editable in Calee and connected calendars read-only.

Set up your Calee display

Recommended: use the Calee app. Your Calee display shows a QR code, the app helps you create an account or sign in, then you connect a display and add calendars you already use.

    Power up your Calee display and join your home network Plug in and turn on your display. Follow the on-screen prompts to connect to your Wi-Fi network.

    Scan the QR code on your display with your phone Use your phone camera to scan the QR code shown on your Calee display. This opens a page that guides you to the Calee app.

    Open or install the Calee app Tap Open Calee app if you already have it, or download it from the App Store or Google Play.

    Create a Calee account or sign in If you are new to Calee, create an account with your email, confirm email, redeem code, and password. The Calee app signs you in automatically after account creation. If you already have an account, choose I already have an account and sign in.

    Connect a display The Calee app will guide you to connect a display to your account. Your Calee display will activate once connected.

    Add calendars you already use In the Calee app, go to Settings → Add existing calendars to add calendars you already use, such as Google Calendar, iCloud, Outlook, or any calendar link. These appear on your display alongside your Calee calendars.

After setup, you can update your name and timezone later in Personal settings.

New to Calee

Create your Calee account in the Calee app after scanning the QR code on your Calee display.

    Enter your email, confirm email, redeem code, and password.You do not need to enter your name or timezone during account creation.

    Create your account.The Calee app signs you in automatically after your account is created.

Already have a Calee account?

If you already have a Calee account, use the Calee app to sign in and connect a display.

    Connect a display, then add calendars you already use.

Your existing Calee calendars and connected calendars will appear on the new display automatically once it is connected.

How calendars work in Calee

Calee can show all your calendars together on your Calee display.

Calee calendars

Calee calendars are created and managed in Calee. They are two-way editable — you can create and edit events in the Calee app or Calee Online Calendar, and optionally in other calendar apps using CalDAV.

Use Calee calendars for events you want to manage inside Calee.

Connected calendars

Connected calendars come from other providers — Google, Apple/iCloud, Outlook, school, sport, roster, booking systems, public holidays, or shared calendar links.

They are added using calendar links and appear on your display alongside your Calee calendars.

Connected calendars are read-only in Calee. To change an event, edit it in the original calendar app.

Calee displays all calendars together, but only Calee calendars are edited in Calee.

Add calendars you already use

Choose your calendar provider first: iCloud Calendar, Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar, or Calendar App Setup for Calee calendars. These calendars will appear on your Calee display.

Connected calendars are read-only in Calee. To edit an event, use the original calendar app.

Apple / iCloud Calendar

For Apple Calendar / iCloud users

Recommended: use the Calee app

Add your iCloud calendar to Calee using the Calee app.

Get the Calee App Get the Calee App

This iCloud calendar will be read-only in Calee. To change events, edit the original calendar in Apple Calendar or iCloud.

    On your iPhone, open Calendar → Calendars.

    Tap &circledI; beside the iCloud calendar, then tap Edit Calendar.

    Enable Public Calendar, tap Share Link, and copy the link.
  4. 4
    Open the Calee app, go to Settings → Add existing calendars → Apple / iCloud Calendar, then paste the calendar link.

    Tap Add to Calee.
  6. 6
    Optional: rename the connected calendar, for example Home iCloud, so it is easy to recognise.

Manual: add using a public calendar link

Add your iCloud calendar directly into Calee using a public calendar link.

This creates a read-only subscription in Calee. Enabling Public Calendar creates a shareable link — only use this for calendars you are comfortable sharing as a subscription.

    On your iPhone, open Calendar → Calendars.

    Tap &circledI; beside the iCloud calendar, then tap Edit Calendar.

    Enable Public Calendar, tap Share Link, and copy the link.

    In the left sidebar, click + New Calendar → New subscription from link.

    Paste the iCloud calendar link and click Confirm.

    Optional: rename the calendar, for example Home (iCloud).

Google Calendar

Use this if your events are in Google Calendar and you want them to appear on your Calee display

This Google calendar will be read-only in Calee. To change events, edit the original calendar in Google Calendar.

Some work or school Google accounts may hide or block the private iCal link.

    On a computer, open Google Calendar in a web browser.

    Click the three-dot menu beside the calendar name.

    Click Settings and sharing.

    Scroll to Integrate calendar.
  5. 5
    Copy Secret address in iCal format.

    Open the Calee app.
  7. 7
    Go to Settings → Add existing calendars.

    Choose Google Calendar.

    Choose I already have the link.

    Paste the Google calendar link.

    Tap Add to Calee.

You can also add the link using Calee Online Calendar by choosing New subscription from link.

Outlook Calendar

Use this if your events are in Outlook and you want them to appear on your Calee display

Recommended: use Calendar Share Alias

Share an Outlook calendar into Calee using your Calendar Share Alias.

    Go to Settings → Add existing calendars.

    Choose Outlook Calendar.

    Copy your Calendar Share Alias.
  5. 5
    Open the Outlook app on your phone.
  6. 6
    Go to Calendar and open the calendar settings or gear icon.
  7. 7
    Choose the Outlook calendar you want to share.
  8. 8
    Tap Add people and paste your Calendar Share Alias.
  9. 9
    Choose a sharing permission and confirm the share.

The shared calendar usually appears in Calee shortly after Outlook sends the sharing email. Calendar sharing may not be available for every Outlook account.

Fallback: use an Outlook ICS link

Use this only if Calendar Share Alias is not available for your Outlook account.

This creates a read-only subscription in Calee. To make changes, edit the original calendar in Outlook. Use the ICS link, not the HTML link.

    Open Outlook Calendar on the web.

    Open Settings → Calendar → Shared calendars.

    Under Publish a calendar, choose the calendar, set a permission level, and click Publish.

    Copy the ICS link (not the HTML link).

    Open the Calee app → Settings → Add existing calendars → I already have a calendar link, paste the ICS link, and tap Add to Calee.

Calee App / Calendar App Setup

Use this when you want to create or edit Calee calendars, or add your Calee calendars to Apple Calendar with Calendar App Setup.

Use the Calee app to connect your display, create and edit Calee calendars, and connect your existing calendar to Calee. Calendar App Setup is for adding editable Calee calendars to a compatible calendar app.

    Add iCloud, Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar, or another calendar link.Go to Settings → Add existing calendars and choose the provider that matches where your events are today.

    Optional: use Calendar App Setup for Calee calendars.Go to Settings → Services → Calee Portal → Calendar App Setup to copy the details needed by compatible calendar apps.

Use the Calee app to view and edit Calee calendars

The Calee app is the easiest way to use your Calee calendars.

You can view your calendars, create and edit Calee events, and manage calendars and lists.

Calee calendars are editable in the Calee app. Connected calendars from Google, iCloud, Outlook, and other calendar links are read-only in Calee — to edit those events, use the original calendar app.

Optional personal settings

Name and timezone are not required when you create an account in the Calee app. You can update them later in Personal settings.

Fallback if you cannot use the app

Use this browser fallback only if the Calee app cannot be used. The Calee app is the recommended setup path.

    In a browser, open hub.calee.com.au/activation.
  2. 2
    Follow the browser setup prompts.Until the Hub fallback is simplified, it may still ask for first name, last name, email, confirm email, and redeem code.

    Create your account.
  4. 4
    Return to your Calee display and follow the on-screen sign-in instructions.

To add calendars or change settings after setup, install the Calee app on your phone or use Calee Online Calendar.
