Set up Calee on your phone

Choose your device and follow the onboarding guide below. Android uses CaleeSync directly. On iPhone, CaleeSync helps you connect your Calee account and subscribe to shared calendars.

Android onboarding guide

Use CaleeSync on Android to sign in, choose your calendars, and sync them to Calee.

Recommended for Android phones Open Google Play

    Install CaleeSync Download CaleeSync from Google Play and open the app.

    Sign in Log in with your Calee account.
  3. 3
    Allow calendar access When Android asks for calendar permission, tap Allow.
  4. 4
    Choose the calendars to sync Open Calendars and tick the calendars you want Calee to use.
  5. 5
    Set your sync options Open Sync Settings, turn on the sync options you want, choose the interval, and save.
  6. 6
    Start syncing Go back to the Dashboard and tap Sync Now.

Quick actions

You can also use the quick actions on the Dashboard to:

  • Subscribe to a Calee calendar
  • Link to a device calendar

Good to know

Android setup is handled inside CaleeSync, so most families only need the app, calendar permission, and one tap on Sync Now.

iPhone onboarding guide

On iPhone, CaleeSync helps you connect your Calee calendar account and add shared calendars from iCloud, Google, or Outlook.

Recommended for iPhone Install TestFlight

Before you start

Install TestFlight, use your Calee invite to install CaleeSync, then sign in. After that, follow the steps below to add your Calee account to the iPhone Calendar app.

    Open CaleeSync and allow calendar access When iPhone asks for calendar permission, tap Allow Full Access.

    Copy your Calee account details On the CaleeSync Dashboard, copy the server, username, and password shown in the CalDav Account card.

    Add the Calee account to iPhone On your iPhone, go to:
    • Settings → Apps → Calendar → Calendar Accounts
    • Tap Add AccountOtherAdd CalDAV Account

    Enter the account details Paste the server, username, and password from CaleeSync. Set the description to Calee, then tap Save.

    Check the Calendar app Open the iPhone Calendar app and make sure the Calee calendars are selected.

Optional: iCloud calendar

Subscribe to an iCloud calendar in CaleeSync:

  • On your iPhone, open Calendar → Calendars.
  • Tap ⓘ beside the iCloud calendar, then tap Edit Calendar.
  • Enable Public Calendar, tap Share Link, and copy the link.
  • Open CaleeSync, tap New subscription, paste the link, then tap Confirm.

Optional: Outlook calendar

Share an Outlook calendar to CaleeSync from the Outlook iPhone app using your Calendar Share Alias:

  • In CaleeSync, open Calendar Share Alias and copy your alias email address.
  • On your iPhone, open the Outlook app and go to Calendar.
  • Open the calendar menu, tap the Calendar gear icon, then choose the Outlook calendar you want to share.
  • Tap Add people and enter your Calee Calendar Share Alias.
  • Choose the sharing permission you want to send, then confirm the share.
  • After the shared calendar email is received, the calendar can be managed in CaleeSync.
  • Note: Calendar sharing may not be available for every Outlook account, and some work or school organisations may only allow sharing inside the organisation.

Optional: Google calendar

Subscribe to a Google calendar in CaleeSync using its private iCal link, or public iCal link if available:

  • In Safari, open Google Calendar on the web and go to that calendar’s Settings.
  • Under Integrate calendar, copy the Secret address in iCal format.
  • If a Public address in iCal format is available and suitable for your use, you can use that instead.
  • Open CaleeSync and tap New subscription.
  • Paste the link into Calendar URL, then tap Confirm.
  • Note: Some Google calendars, especially work or school accounts, may not show a private or public iCal link. If the link is not available, your organisation’s sharing settings may restrict it.

Tip

If the same shared calendar appears twice in your iPhone Calendar app, turn off the duplicate copy you do not want to display.
